The Old Globe Summer 2004

I was an Assistant Cutter in 2004 for The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, CA.

Here are some pictures of Lewis Brown’s costumes from “As You Like It” that I cut out.

More artwork

A gothic inspired cloak closure. Media: copper, bronze, lapis, and coral.

Lapis and Jade Silver necklace and matching earrings.

A Batik of Empress Theodora that I quilted and embellished.

A stamped silver reversible bracelet with the quote "Dream to touch the Stars, Live to touch your Dreams."

This is a jewelry bag I wove inspired by the bed spreads seen in many fresco paintings. It was double woven with a single weave for the flap.

Mask that represents the cycle from anger to acceptance.

Dance Light

Here is some work in progress for my Dance Light piece for next semester for Daisy Hobbs to David Beddingfield's song "Gotta Get Through This". This is the prototype and I'm going to take out a little extra fabric in the pattern to stop the weird crease in the forehead area. I'm sewing a mask in the back of the head too to help create the face shape more while the front will be held out by the actual face. It will have straps coming down that go under the arms over a white unitard.

TV Workshop

I have been accepted into the rigorous graduate program at Carnegie Mellon University for Costume Design. Here are some pictures from a recent TV Workshop project we did with advice from our alums from L.A. The scene takes place in a former meat locker with the up and coming band "Blood and Roses."
